Mrs. Beth Gannon- Kindergarten

My name is Beth Gannon.   Mrs. Gannon is originally from Campbellsville, KY attending both Campbellsville University and the University of Kentucky. She is a graduate of Gardner-Webb University, NC. She is currently completing a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education at the University of the Cumberlands. Mrs. Gannon has 6 years combined teaching experience in NC, FL and KY. Her teaching philosophy is to “teach to the whole brain”. She uses a wide variety of teaching methods to reach each student’s learning style. She uses centers to keep the students interested and engaged. Mrs. Gannon has also been described by her students as “crazy Mrs. Gannon” because of her animation and enthusiasm in teaching a lesson.Mrs. Gannon and her family are members of First Baptist Church, Richmond. She loves to spend time with her family, relax in the sun with a good book, watch movies and eat Italian food.  She lives in Richmond, KY with her husband, David, and children Bryn, Ally and Neely.

 Jenny Maher


Mrs. Jenny Maher – Kindergarten Aide

Hello!  My name is Jenny Maher and I am the kindergarten assistant at Saint Mark.  I am a member of Saint Mark Catholic Church and am involved with several ministries. I am a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, I have taught 8th grade Confirmation for several years, and lead the rosary before mass.  I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Arts degree in Special Education Learning Behavior Disorders.  I, also, have an autism endorsement certificate.  My degrees and autism endorsement were all earned from Eastern Kentucky University.  I am a product of the Catholic school system, so I know the value of a Catholic Education and the strong spiritual foundation it provides.  I was educated in the Diocese of Cincinnati where I grew up.  I live, here, in Richmond, KY with my husband, John and our three kitties.  I have five step-children who are scattered around the country.  They are all so special and have brought so much to my life!  I feel very blessed to be part of the Saint Mark Catholic School community!

Mrs. Hannah Adams Grades 1/2

Hi, I’m Hannah Adams. I’m a 2010 gratuate of Georgetown College with a degree in elementary education and a minor in social sciences. I’m currently working on a masters degree from the University of the Cumberlands in school counseling. My husband Mikeal and I live in Berea with our two children Emmett and Charlotte. I have worked in both public and private school as a classroom teacher, curriculum developer and RTI interventionist and coming to St.Mark is by far my favorite place to be. I’m very thankful for the opportunity to work with the wonderful families and teachers at St.Mark again.

Miss Claire Arthur – 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade

Ms. Claire Arthur graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a B.S. in Elementary Education in 2011 and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Learning and Behavior Disorders from Georgetown College. She has taught for the past four years for the Fayette County public school system, and is excited to share her passion for student success with the families of St. Mark School. Claire is a Lexington, Kentucky native, and now lives in Richmond with her Greyhound rescue, Lincoln. She enjoys hiking, camping, reading, and drinking lots of coffee!


 Emily Roche

Mrs. Emily Roche – 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade

Ms. Emily Roche strives to live in a world of solidarity and subsidiarity where people love their neighbors as themselves. After graduating Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Elementary Education from Missouri State University, Emily spent two years as an AmeriCorps Volunteer—one year teaching second grade at a Catholic School in inner-city Chicago, and a second year with the Christian Appalachian Project in Jackson County, Kentucky. She then worked for seven years as the Literacy Program Coordinator for the Save the Children grant at McKee Elementary in Jackson County.

An active member of St. Clare Parish in Berea, Emily has taught religious education, assisted at Vacation Bible School, and volunteered as temporary director of religious education for one year. She continues her own religious formation by attending retreats and classes.

Emily lives in Berea, Kentucky with her husband, 2 daughters, 4 chickens, and a grumpy cat. Her extracurricular interests include: creative writing and strong coffee.


Mrs. Sandy Sullivan-Secretary and Art

My name is Sandy Sullivan and I have been the secretary at St. Mark Catholic School since 2009. I also teach art for PreK . I am a member of St. Mark Catholic Church. I lector at Mass and have participated often in the decorating of the church and facility for different events.
My husband is Bill Sullivan, a retired major with the KSP, who now teaches at EKU in Homeland Security. He is a fourth degree Knight and a Eucharistic minister. We have two children, Erin and Patrick, who both attended St. Mark School. Erin is a Salon Director at SunTanCity and Patrick attends U of L Speed School. I am a graduate of EKU with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jewelry and Metalsmithing and a Minor in painting. I owned and operated The Finer Things here in Richmond for many years. I am blessed to have been and to continue to be part of the St. Mark family. It is a wonderful place to entrust the education and growth of your child.
